Live at CeMAT Asia 2026: Vacuum Tube Lifters on Stand W4-D2

Publication Date: November 4, 2026
Official Website: www.hero-lift.com

CeMAT Asia 2026 opened on November 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, and Herolift is on the floor in Hall W4, stand W4-D2, with the VEL Series vacuum tube lifter range. Two exhibition days remain — November 5 and 6.

This page covers what is on the stand, how the equipment actually works, and the one sizing rule that trips up most buyers. It is written to be useful whether you visit this week or are comparing tube lifter suppliers afterwards.

What Is on the Stand

The centrepiece is the VEL Series vacuum tube lifter: an ergonomic, vacuum-powered lifting device. Connected to AC or DC power, a vacuum blower generates the lifting force, and the operator controls lift, lower and release from a single integrated handle. The lifting unit itself is light, which is what makes fast, low-effort positioning possible.

Alongside the fixed-rail configurations, we are showing the VEL/VCL mobile tube lifters, which can be moved manually between workstations instead of being tied to one column or rail.

Loads being demonstrated are bags, cartons, drums and similar unit loads across the 30–270 kg range, depending on model.

How a Vacuum Tube Lifter Works

A VEL lifter is simpler than it looks. Twelve components do the work:

  1. Filter
  2. Pressure release valve
  3. Bracket for blower (option)
  4. Vacuum blower
  5. Silence box (option)
  6. Column
  7. Limit stop
  8. Rail
  9. Air hose
  10. Lifting unit
  11. Suction foot
  12. Control handle

The air path runs vacuum blower → non-return valve → tank → filter → gauge → valve → filter → suction foot. The non-return valve sits between the blower and the tank, so the vacuum path closes when the blower stops rather than bleeding back through it.

Control is deliberately minimal. The handle gives you lift, lower and release, and comes in two versions — standard and flexible — with two control modes: A, with load adjust, and B, without load adjust. Lift speed is approximately 1 m/s across the range.

The Sizing Rule Most Buyers Get Wrong

Here is the point worth checking at any tube lifter stand, including ours:

The model number is the tube diameter in millimetres — not the lifting capacity in kilograms.

So a VEL230 does not lift 230 kg. It has a 230 mm tube and lifts 120 kg. A VEL300 has a 300 mm tube and lifts 270 kg. Buyers who read the model number as a capacity figure routinely order one size too small. We walk through the full selection logic in this VEL Series selection guide.

VEL Series: tube diameter and rated capacity

Model Tube diameter Rated capacity
VEL100 100 mm 30 kg
VEL120 120 mm 40 kg
VEL140 140 mm 50 kg
VEL160 160 mm 60 kg
VEL180 180 mm 80 kg
VEL200 200 mm 100 kg
VEL230 230 mm 120 kg
VEL250 250 mm 180 kg
VEL300 300 mm 270 kg

Note that capacity does not scale linearly with tube size. The jump from VEL230 (120 kg) to VEL250 (180 kg) is 50% more load for 20 mm more tube.

Specs that change across the range

Spec VEL100 – VEL200 VEL230 – VEL300
Vacuum blower 3 kW / 4 kW 4 kW / 5.5 kW
Spec VEL100 – VEL180 VEL200 – VEL230 VEL250 – VEL300
Lift height 1800 / 2500 mm 1700 / 2400 mm 1500 / 2200 mm
Spec All models
Tube length 2500 / 4000 mm
Lift speed approx. 1 m/s

The pattern is worth remembering when you compare: as capacity climbs, lift height comes down. A 270 kg unit at 2200 mm is not interchangeable with a 60 kg unit at 2500 mm, even though they share a tube length.

What to Compare at Any Tube Lifter Stand

If you are walking the halls this week, these are the five things that separate a suitable unit from an expensive mistake:

  1. Rated capacity against your actual heaviest load — include the suction foot and any fixture weight, not just the product.
  2. Lift height against your highest pick and place point — the 1800/2500 mm and 1500/2200 mm bands are not negotiable after the fact.
  3. Blower rating — 3/4 kW and 4/5.5 kW are different machines, and the larger one is only on VEL230 and above.
  4. Handle type and load adjust — flexible versus standard, with or without load adjust, changes how the unit feels on a fast line.
  5. Mounting — column and rail, or a mobile VEL/VCL frame. A mobile unit costs less to install but needs floor space and a flat route.

Hazardous Areas

For dust and gas environments, explosion-proof configurations are available and certified to Ex c III 80°C Db (dust) and Ex c II T6 Gb (gas). These follow a different specification path from the standard range — see our explosion-proof vacuum tube lifter guide, so they should be raised at the stand rather than after the order.

Visit Us on November 5 or 6

Herolift is at Hall W4, Booth W4-D2 until November 6. Bring a sample load or a drawing if you can — sizing a tube lifter against a real load takes minutes, whereas sizing it from a specification sheet later takes a week of email.

Free online registration closed on October 30, 2026. On-site tickets are ¥50 for the remaining days.

If you cannot make it, the same sizing conversation works by email: contact us with your load weight, dimensions, lift height and cycle rate.

FAQ

Where is Herolift at CeMAT Asia 2026?

Hall W4, Booth W4-D2, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The show runs November 3–6, 2026.

Can I still get a ticket?

Free online registration closed on October 30, 2026. On-site tickets are ¥50 and are valid for the remaining show days through November 6.

Does a VEL230 lift 230 kg?

No. The number is the tube diameter in millimetres. VEL230 has a 230 mm tube and lifts 120 kg. Capacity by model runs from 30 kg (VEL100) to 270 kg (VEL300).

What loads can a vacuum tube lifter handle?

Bags, cartons, drums and comparable unit loads — typically anything with a surface the suction foot can seal against. The suction foot is the part that has to match the load, not just the capacity figure.

Do tube lifters need compressed air?

The VEL Series is driven by an electric vacuum blower rated 3/4 kW or 4/5.5 kW depending on model, connected to AC or DC power. It is not an air-line device.
